New York City CU-Boulder Alumni Chapter

The dog days of summer are here and football season is just around the corner. We’re happy to announce we’ve found a new home for the fall. You’re invited to a happy hour event at our new football watch venue, Bar XII. Bar XII, located in Murray Hill, with 17 flatscreen TVs, as well as small LCD screens on their beer taps, is going to be a great new home for us.

For August 20th, we’ve arranged an all night happy hour for you. It starts at 6:00pm and the specials last all night, with a special hand stamp. Just tell them at the door you’re there for the Colorado party, and you’ll get a stamp entitling you to $4 drafts, $5 wells, and $6 glasses of wine all night. The Colorado party will be at the back bar. A portion of all proceeds sold at the back bar go to the NY Buffs Scholarship Fund. So come check out our new digs, and challenge someone to a friendly game of beer pong if the mood strikes you.

Ladies and Buffaloes!

It’s almost football season! So don’t make plans for Labor Day just yet, because on Sunday, September 6th, CU is taking on CSU, at home…

Last year you guys blew the doors off the bar for the CSU game. They actually had to call in emergency bartenders and wait staff… Click here for pictures from last year.

This season, we’re stoked to be hosting our parties at our new home, Bar XII, right in Murray Hill.

And, this game is at 7:00pm on Sunday night of Labor Day weekend. That means no work the next day… So come out to party and watch the Buffs take on the Rams at home in Boulder for the first time in years. Then stay out for the party.

Yes we know some Rams have made their way onto this list. Feel free to join us- if you’re brave enough… (This is 1 of only 2 games played that day and the only one at that time- and NFL doesn’t start til following week).

We’ve lined up some great specials for you during the games:
• $10 pitchers of Bud & Bud Light
• $4 draft beers
• $5 well drinks
• $5 appetizers

And don’t be surprised to see one or two familiar beers that you probably haven’t seen in a while…

RESERVATION POLICY: Weill be opening about half the seating for advance reservations starting on Monday, August 31st. The other half will remain open to alums on game day on a first-come, first-serve basis, so get there early. All drink/food specials will begin at least 30 minutes prior to game cast. For reservations, please email nybuffs@usa.net beginning Aug 31st. Please do not attempt to contact Bar XII for reservations, as only reservations made through the alumni club will be honored.

T-SHIRTS: Yes, we’ve heard you asking for them, and we’ll be selling custom NY BUFFS t-shirts, all designed by our very own local alums. And for the first time we’ll have special tank tops just for the ladies… Shirts start at $20, so bring some cash! Quantities are limited so make sure you get yours at the beginning of the season.
