What: Networking Happy Hour

When: Thursday, September 24th, 6:00pm
We’re conscious of the fact that people are looking to do some networking these days. The Buffs take a week off in September, so we’re doing a combination Happy Hour and Career Networking event on Thurs, Sept 24th at Bowery Wine Company. It’s a great opportunity to mix some business and pleasure.
We welcome those that are looking for jobs, those who want to discuss potential opportunities, those that might be in a position to help your fellow alums or provide some guidance or advice, as well as anyone who just wants to come out for happy hour.
We request that those who might be in a position to help and/or have opportunities, or are currently in transition, to please e-mail us at nybuffs@usa.net.
All are welcome to come on out- not just those looking to network so please come down to Bowery Wine Company for a fun Thursday Happy Hour.
CU vs West Virginia 2009

Kickoff is at 7:30pm, but happy hour will start at 6:30. We still have shirts so come and grab one.
We’ve lined up some great specials for you during the games:
• $10 pitchers of Bud, Bud Light, and Coors Light
• $4 drafts of Bud, Bud Light, and Coors Light
• $6 drafts of Boulder Beer and Sawtooth Ale
• $5 well drinks
• $5 appetizers (Nachos, Cheese fries, Mozzarella Sticks, Wings)
RESERVATION POLICY:
RESERVATIONS NOT OPEN UNTIL MONDAY, SEP. 28TH
To reserve table, please email nybuffs@usa.net and include: name, phone number, and number of people.
Reservation Policy:
- Only half the available tables will be open for advance reservations. The rest will be first-come first-serve at the game, so please arrive early.
- All reservations must be received at least 24 hrs in advance of the game.
- Arrive at least 15 minutes before game cast. We can’t guarantee your reservation beyond that time. All drink/food specials will begin at least 30 minutes prior to game cast.
- Do not make reservations directly with Bar XII, only reservations emailed to and confirmed by nybuffs@usa.net will be honored.
- Table reservations are for tables, not seats. Due to the crowded environment on game days, we cannot always guarantee a seat for everyone in your party, though we try to accommodate to the best of our ability.
- Reservations will be cut off when capacity is reached.
- You do NOT need a reservation to show up, only if you want to reserve a table.
T-SHIRTS: We’ll be selling custom NY BUFFS t-shirts, all designed by our very own local alums. We’ll have t-shirts, long sleeves, hoodies, and for the first time we’ll have special tank tops just for the ladies… Shirts start at $20, so bring some cash! Quantities are limited so make sure you get yours at the beginning of the season.

Bill Goldstein’s Farewell
After almost 20 years with The CU New York Alumni Chapter, I am stepping down as President. My time with the New York Buffs has been among the most enriching experience of my life. Together we have built our chapter into “the model club” within the CU Alumni network.
We have shared countless memorable events, touched many lives, and have been rewarded with very special friendships.
I have all the confidence in the world in the new leadership that will guide our chapter to bigger and greater achievements.
It has been an honor and privilege to lead such an amazing group.
As for me, I’ve moved to Boulder to pursue my aspirations to serve the University of Colorado in a greater capacity.

CU vs CSU 2009

Ladies and Buffaloes!
It’s almost football season! So don’t make plans for Labor Day just yet, because on Sunday, September 6th, CU is taking on CSU, at home…
Last year you guys blew the doors off the bar for the CSU game. They actually had to call in emergency bartenders and wait staff… Click here for pictures from last year.
This season, we’re stoked to be hosting our parties at our new home, Bar XII, right in Murray Hill.
And, this game is at 7:00pm on Sunday night of Labor Day weekend. That means no work the next day… So come out to party and watch the Buffs take on the Rams at home in Boulder for the first time in years. Then stay out for the party.
Yes we know some Rams have made their way onto this list. Feel free to join us- if you’re brave enough… (This is 1 of only 2 games played that day and the only one at that time- and NFL doesn’t start til following week).
We’ve lined up some great specials for you during the games:

• $5 well drinks
• $5 appetizers
And don’t be surprised to see one or two familiar beers that you probably haven’t seen in a while… 
RESERVATION POLICY: Weill be opening about half the seating for advance reservations starting on Monday, August 31st. The other half will remain open to alums on game day on a first-come, first-serve basis, so get there early. All drink/food specials will begin at least 30 minutes prior to game cast. For reservations, please email nybuffs@usa.net beginning Aug 31st. Please do not attempt to contact Bar XII for reservations, as only reservations made through the alumni club will be honored.
