Ice Skating & CU vs Kansas Basketball

February 20, 2010
2:00 pmto6:00 pm

Join the Buffs for a day of ice skating and watching basketball with the Kansas Club!

2:00 – 3:15pm Ice Skating
3:45 – 6:00pm CU vs Kansas game watch

First we’ll be meeting up with the Jayhawks at Wollman Rink in Central Park on Sat, Feb 20th at 2pm for ice skating at the 33,000-square-foot rink. If you haven’t been, the skyscrapers of midtown Manhattan provide a spectacular backdrop.

Ice skating costs about $20 (Daily Rate $13.25 + Skate Rentals $6.25).

We’ll be meeting at 2pm east of the ticket booth, by the CU banner, but feel free to get tickets and start skating whenever you arrive. If you’d just like to be a spectator, there are bleachers on the outside of the rink. There is also a snack bar that serves snacks and hot chocolate!

We’ll leave after 3pm for Bar XII to watch CU take on the Kansas Jayhawks.

The usual specials will be available: $3 Bud/Bud Light/Coors Light drafts, $5 wells, $10 pitchers, $5 appetizers.

Table reservations will be available as usual about a week before the game, and half the spots will remain open for first come first serve. We’ll announce when reservations are open- only reservations made through nybuffs@usa.net will be honored.

So come out for an afternoon of ice skating and cheering on the Buffs! And feel free to participate in only one or the other. Email nybuffs@usa.net for any questions.

Locations:

Wollman Rink: In Central Park between 62nd & 63rd St east side, between the dairy to the north and the pond to the south.

Bar XII: 206 East 34th Street between 2nd and 3rd.
